Wines of China

We are extremely proud to be the first global wine educating body to offer the certification for the Wines of China.

According to the International Organization of Vine and Wine China 2017 statistics table, China is the 6th largest wine producer in the world producing a staggering 10.8 million hectolitres of wine. China produces more wine than Chile, Australia and South Africa respectively.

While the Chinese consumer is more well-known across many fine dining restaurants and events as having a preference for fine prestigious wines of France particularly, they also enjoy other fine wines from other parts of the world too.

Very little is known of the wine making regions of China. This region is diverse as it is geographically broad from Beijing, Yantai, Zhangjiakou in Hebei, Yibin in Sichuan, Tonghua in Jilin, Taiyuan in Shanxi, and Ningxia.

Be amazed, be stunned as we take you through this road less travelled where the delights of the East will both amaze you in many different ways. The journey for Chinese wine is still young as an industry with individual wines possessing historic age presence.

One aspect that cannot be doubted nor questioned its not a matter of if, but a matter of when, the world will be seeing the wave of Chinese wine to fill the market place and take its place as one of the great wine-making nations. We invite you to this historic wine certification course of China.

With each course there is a recommended wine list that is indicative of the classic wines of this country. We encourage you to try these wines during the course of your studies.

This is a self-paced course and should take approximately 19-25 hours including study time to complete.
